True Galaxies was founded in June of 2006 with the sole purpose of providing a completely true Pre-CU SWG Server for the community. Since then, we've came a long way while keeping true to our one goal of making sure that the community will at least have one place to play SWG as they remembered it.

What makes True Galaxies different than other communities?

There are many things that make us different from other communities. While all communities have a great purpose that serves them well, we are currently the only community wanting to keep true to how Pre-CU was. You will not find us wanting to add new "super" classes or professions, nor will you find us changing abilities to make something more powerful. We hold the belief that the system wasn't perfect, but we think that it worked and we don't want to change systems around that will just be another Combat Upgrade, or "New Game Enhancement".

We are reliable. We've been around since 2006 and have seen many "popular" communities that promise a completely new game rise up, and fall after they've shown that they can't even keep a website running. While that may sound harsh to say it in such a way, we want to make sure that our community has a reliable server and that everyone else knows the risks of joining a fly-by night community. Nothing would be worse than to join a community, get invovled, skill up your character, and then for the server operator to decide that it was too much money and head to the hills while your stuck without a character that you've worked hard on. TG has proven it can stand the test of time, and over that time we've gained a lot of financial backing from our community members to make sure the servers are going to be around for as long as they are wanted.

We have built an outstanding community. We've been through some rough times with forum changes, website re-designs, and more and we have always kept our community members through those rough times. Most of the community members that join make us their permanent home and are just as devoted to TG as the directors, developers, and game masters of TG. Community was the "other half" of SWG, and without a good community SWG Pre-CU just isn't the same. When you join TG you're not only getting the game, but also the community.

Server Specs

Currently, there is no server software to run on our servers. However, the last three years have allowed us to become very familar with the technology available, and aquire significant financial backing to operate a server fleet of any size to hold our memberbase.
